Baby's sitting up

Kadyn sat on her own for the first time yesterday. Each day we do it a little longer and she's getting stronger and stronger. She can sit for quite awhile but once she gets excited, she tends to lose her balance. It's definitely amazing how quickly she's growing.

Kadyn is already starting to show her stubborn side. When I try to feed her with a spoon, she tries to take it away. She is constantly grabbing at my glass to try to drink out of it. Kevin and I have talked about letting her move out on her own as she seems to think she can do everything without our help.

We just got back from Florida where Kadyn finally got to meet her Great GrandMimi. We had such a great time. It was Kadyn's first time on a plane and she was a pro. She didn't even cry. Here are some of our favorite shots from our vacation.

Kadyn is 4 Months old

Kadyn had her 4 month appointment last week. She was 14 lbs 5 oz, 24.25", and she has been given the green light to begin eating some rice cereal. She's still getting used to the rice cereal but really likes it.

Grammy and Grampy Visit

Grammy and Grampy visited this weekend and Kadyn got to spend a lot of time with them. We went out to eat a couple times and they babysat for her while Kevin and I went to a wedding. We had such a great time.

Grammy and Grampie also bought Kadyn her first high chair.

And today was her 4 month appointment so the doctor told us we could start her on some rice cereal. We're not sure how much she actually ate (she spit most of it out) but she had fun.

And then Mommy did some exercises using baby as resistance.

Kadyn's doctor's appointment went really well. She is now 14 lbs 5 oz, 24 1/4 inches and she is growing quite nicely. The doctor was really impressed with how strong she is and how advanced she is. He said she seemed more like a 6 month old than a 4 month old. Especially when he heard that she's been rolling over since she was 3 months old. He said she was very social and made great eye contact. She got 2 more shots but she took them with a grain of salt and only cried for about a minute.
